Gov. Taliño-Mendoza turns over covered court project at West Patadon, Matalam
This covered court signifies partnership and good relationship.
This was what Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza said when she turned-over the P2.5 million covered court project to barangay West Patadon, Matalam October 21, 2011 amidst a crowd of municipal and barangay officials, teachers, pupils and barangay folks.
According to Mr. Ebrahim M. Unayan, focal person for engineering, this is the first covered court project completed under Governor Taliño-Mendoza’s 1 year administration. The other ongoing covered court projects are in Libungan Toreta, Pigcawayan; Luhong in Antipas; Antipas Elementary School; Kiloyao in Libungan; at the Arakan Elementary School and at the Kidapawan City Elementary School.
Three other covered court projects are to be implemented at the Amas Elementary School, at the capitol compound and at barangay Magsaysay all in Kidapawan City.
Funded by the Trade Union Congress of the Phils. (TUCP) Partylist through the Provincial Government of Cotabato, 5 elementary schools have been identified to each receive a covered court project as promised by Governor Taliño-Mendoza during last year’s Summer Kids Peace Camp. These are to be constructed in the municipalities of Magpet, Makilala, Pres. Roxas, Matalam and Tulunan.
West Patadon Barangay Captain Tingkua P. Salapudin, Al-Hadja and Matalam Vice Mayor Cheryl V. Catamco both expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the governor and to TUCP Partylist Congressman Raymond Democrito C. Mendoza for the said project which according to them will benefit not only the youth and children in pursuing their sports activities but the barangay as well in its various activities.//idcd-pgo//
