Lala, Dodong play double in inter-lgu sports olympics

AMAS, Kidapawan City – Yesterday, right at the basketball court, Governor Emmylou J. ‘Lala’ Taliño-Mendoza and Vice Governor Gregorio ‘Dodong’ Ipong played double in balls of inputs on the values of camaraderie and teamwork in order to advance genuine and truthful service (Serbisyong Totoo) for the Cotabateños.

They shot these inputs they aimed right to the hearts of the participating teams of 16 municipalities and 1 city on various sports categories such as basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball.   

“All of us here should value camaraderie to keep us united in our concerted effort for the development of the Cotabateños, for a new and strong Cotabato”, according to Vice Governor Dodong as he welcome the participants to the Inter-LGU sports Olympics.

For her part governor Lala conveyed, “today, as we engaged in a healthy competition we are not limited to computers, to calculators, to constructions, and to health services; we, as partners in the development of our local government also have to hold respect, discipline, and camaraderie among us, privileged employees and officials”.

Both played well as a team and led all participating teams to engage in a healthy competition through the Inter-LGU Sports Olympics and in the process hope to reach the finishing line with healthy partnerships intact.

The two provincial officials expressed their profound gratitude to all municipalities who cooperated in all activities especially in spreading to other municipalities the event such as ‘banca race in Pulangi River of Carmen’, ‘water tubing in Alamada to Libungan rivers”, mini motocross in Matalam, sepa sa manggis and kulentangan in Pikit, battle of the bands in Makilala with popular pinoy band, the ‘Shamrock’, and the Kavurunan Festival in Antipas, Championships in lawn tennis of Midsayap, and the Pageant Night for search of Mutya ng Cotabato 2010 in Kidapawan.
